Current Openings

Software Engineer (San Francisco, CA)

We are looking for people who want to make a significant impact on the product. Our compensation includes a significant amount of equity as we want our early employees to be emotionally invested in the success of the product. Technologies we are currently using include Python, nginx, memcached, Thrift, PHP, EC2, MySQL and sphinx. Candidates should satisfy the following requirements:

  • Primarily looking for great programmers with at least a couple of years of experience with at least one shipping project that they can showcase
  • Machine learning experience a big plus
  • Prefer engineers with Python experience
  • Prefer engineers with web startup experience

Head of Sales - East (New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA)

The company is backed by top-tier VCs and well-known angel investors. MyLikes is looking for a creative, resourceful and experienced media seller with extensive agency contacts in digital media as well as direct brand relationships and a track record of achievements. This media expert will be responsible for establishing MyLikes as a leading solution in social media advertising and driving sales. The successful candidate will have a passion for social media, the ability to sell solutions and the work ethic to make it happen.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and secure new business
  • Evangelize MyLikes and our solution
  • Present to senior level executives, large groups and media buyers
  • Write and customize presentations
  • Report business activities to company management along with any recommendations
  • Work with clients and internal resources to design, execute and optimize online marketing campaigns
  • Increase the company's brand whenever possible
  • Generate $2-3 million in new business sales
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years management experience
  • 7+ years media sales experience
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a start-up environment
  • Strong digital media sales experience
  • Exemplary record of exceeding goals
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and sell strategically
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel to outer markets
  • Strong team player
  • Bachelor's degree and/or MBA
